Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our own servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details you place in your message and use them to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs that can include an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and time stamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those services apply.
How We Use Information
The limited information described above helps us run the site, diagnose errors, measure overall traffic, and improve its pages. We neither sell a visitor list nor create profiles of individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Whatcom County offices, Washington agencies, courts, library collections, and outside search services. Information submitted after following a link is controlled by that destination's privacy terms, not this policy. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results, which an independent company provides.
Parties That Process Data
Companies that host or support the site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers can receive the automatically collected information already described. We may disclose data when valid legal process compels us to do so, but we do not otherwise share visitor information.
Our Security Practices
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated purposes require. Because visitors do not create accounts here, the site holds no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your place of residence may give you rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held by a website. Washington has targeted protections, including the My Health My Data Act in chapter 19.373 RCW and biometric-identifier rules in chapter 19.375 RCW, but it does not currently have an enacted comprehensive data-broker registry and deletion law. Because we hold very little, a request generally involves checking contact messages and available server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Public records held by Whatcom County or Washington agencies remain under the custodian's control, not ours. Access and exemption rules for agency records arise under the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW; requests about those records must go to the responsible office.
Policy Changes
Any revised policy will appear here. By continuing to use the site after an update, you accept the revised version.
